Summary:  Szechwan, one of the largest and most populous provinces in China, the name of Szechwan (four rivers) was given by four major rivers (Yangzi, Ming, Tuo and Jialing) within the province. The summer is so humid and foggy that it is said that dogs would bark at the sun. To then, sunshine is rarely seen and considered a strange phenomenon. Szechwan is also the homeland endangered species - Panda. This clumzy yet charming looking animal has won millions of people's hearts worldwide. Unfortunately, their very limited diet and difficult mating habit make it impossible to breed outside Szechwan. Chengdu, the capital of Szechwan, is a commercial and light industrial center. Chongqing, a traditional regional center and river port, owing to the wet and foggy weather, people of this city are very fond of a special local cuisine - Mala pot. The pot usually contains heavy-flavored spices including red chilly, pepercorn and anise. This dish would make foreign visitors sweat and slaver at the same time.
